Where are you going in your life? How well do you know yourself? Are you already aware of the story that repeats in your mind? Is the story critical, fearful or negative? What do you believe?
Do you believe in a Source – call it Nature, Force, The Universe, The Divine, Consciousness, God, Goddess, Higher Power, it doesn’t matter what you call it. I don’t mean a religion, but do you have faith in anything that is larger than you? If yes, what is the nature of this Source? Do you have a relationship with Source?
Are you consciously manifesting with this Source? If you answered No here, let me tell you that you are still unconsciously manifesting with this Source everyday.
In The Spontaneous Healing of Belief, Gregg Braden asks what do you believe?
1) Higher Power that is judging and that life is a battle between good and evil,
2) Higher Power that is loving, creative and forgiving force that supports you
Your beliefs shape your thoughts and your perception about the world, how life works, your feelings, as well as what you expect and see in both yourself and others.
Braden writes, “Our beliefs have the power to change the flow of events in the universe—literally to interrupt and redirect time, matter, and space and the events that occur within them.”
“We live our lives based in what we believe. When we think about the truth of this statement, we immediately recognize a startling reality: Beyond anything else that we may actually do in our lives, the beliefs that precede our actions are the foundation of all that we cherish, dream, become, and accomplish. “
“That force is what makes our beliefs so powerful. If we can communicate with it, then we can change how the particles of “us” behave in the world. We can rewrite the code of our reality.”
Thoughts are energy and we are thinking all the time. The mind is not often quiet unless we are using intention to be mindful and quiet. Thoughts carry energy. The energies can be helpful or destructive for your life. The mind lives in the duality of opposites. This is how our mind categorizes life experiences. The mind sees things as light or dark, right or wrong, good or bad, and our mind is full of these labels of opposites. It categorizes people and situations automatically and for the most part unconsciously. The mind looks for patterns and expects what it has experienced in the past. The mind may resist change and thoughts can persist that feed our unhappiness.
Something to ponder: You are not your thoughts. You are not your feelings. You are not your past experience. Your body and mind are not really even who you are.
So who are you? The true nature of your being is Consciousness. Consciousness is not the mind or the thoughts in the mind, but it is the executive control of the mind – enter Mindfulness.
In the quiet moments of mindfulness you can experience your consciousness, your Being. When you come into the present moment awareness you experience your connection to Source and to this Force of creation.
In Bruce Lipton’s, The Biology of Belief, he explores "how scientists are making new discoveries about the interaction between your mind and body and the processes by which cells receive information. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology, that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts.”
These energetic messages from our thoughts and feelings are how we communicate our desires to this creative Force and the intelligent Force then creates our reality based on those thoughts and feelings. This Force and consciousness permeate all the molecules of all of us, and everything in existence. We are all part of this consciousness – and science is now beginning to understand through physics that consciousness alters the behavior of the molecules.
Conscious Participation in Manifesting
Why is this important? It is happening all the time. We think non-stop. We can either choose to participate in manifesting our reality consciously or unconsciously. You can change your life by changing your thoughts. You can change your life by changing the Story in your head - see classes.
